This section brings together the essential information for employees, partners, and service providers required to operate on site.

Operational Guidelines for Staff

Coming to Work at the Airport During the G7

During the G7 period, access to the airport platform may be more restricted than usual. Traffic disruptions are expected on certain routes, in the city centre, and at border crossings. Teams, partners and service providers are therefore encouraged to plan their journeys in advance, allow sufficient extra time, and, whenever possible, prioritise public transport.

From 12 to 18 June inclusive, only seven border crossings will remain open: Anières, Moillesulaz, Thônex‑Vallard, Bardonnex, Perly, Meyrin and Ferney‑Voltaire. Reinforced controls will be applied continuously at these points, with longer waiting times to be expected. All other crossing points will be closed. Outside these authorised posts, crossing the border will not be permitted, including on foot or by bicycle.

Some TPG lines, particularly cross‑border routes, may also be subject to temporary adjustments. Before travelling, those concerned are invited to consult the updated information provided by TPG, CFF, as well as the instructions communicated by their employer or organisation.

A system of special permits will be made available for certain essential personnel to facilitate border crossing, including adapted traffic arrangements at specific customs posts.

When on‑site presence is not essential, remote work is recommended in order to reduce travel constraints during this period.
